Five Generations...

A few weeks ago we had a five generation picture taken. They turned out so good! It includes; Bayla, Myself, Mom, Gramma Janet, and Great Gramma Smith. The cool thing? We are all twenty years apart...well, besides Bayla. 86, 66, 46, 26...and 1 :o) I know, I broke the pattern.

Dear Bayla...

Dear Bayla,

If someone told me before I had you how fast one year would go by, I wouldn't realize how true that statement was until I was living it. You are one year old and it's bitter sweet. You are more of a blessing in our lives then we could have ever imagined. I'm amazed at how many new things you are learing and how many things you teach us.

I'm going to miss many things that I know I'll never get back. I will miss feeding you bottles, something so...typical and routine, but pretty soon bottles will be a thing in the past. Crawling, pretty soon you will be running around here and I will miss those days where I could keep up with you. I'm going to miss when you don't "need" your mommy anymore. When you don't reach out for me or say mamamamama when your awake in your crib. There are so many little moments that I have fell in love with that I hope I have etched them in my brain because I won't be able to get them back.

But I also can't wait to see what new things you do and learn this upcoming year. The walking, the different words, the foods... so many new things you will get to experience and Daddy and I can't wait to experience them with you. And I can't wait to watch you grow from our little baby, who is completely dependent on us, into a toddler, little girl, pre-teen...etc.

Daddy and I love you so much and are so proud of you! HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!!!

LOVE,

Your Mommy
